Carrie Pace has lived in the Austin area since she was five years old and knows and loves the area. She received her B.A. from the University of Texas in 1971 and received her Masters Degree from the LBJ School of Public Affairs in 1975. Carrie worked for several governmental agencies early in her career and has been self-employed since 1981. Carrie is a wife, mother, stepmother, and grandmother, and is familiar with a wide variety of family housing needs. Carrie began her real estate career in 1993, and is dedicated to helping buyers and sellers accomplish their Real Estate related goals, and to making the process as pleasant and stress-free as possible. Her slogan, "Setting the PACE for Excellence" is more than a motto - it's her commitment! Don Pace graduated from Texas Tech University with a BBA in Accounting. After completing his two years of Army service including a tour in Viet Nam, he moved to Austin. He worked for various state agencies including the Governors Office and the Juvenile Probation Commission. He retired as Chief Financial Officer of the Commission in September 2003 and joined Carrie as her accountant and business manager. Don's "day job" is Director of Finance for Unity Church of the Hills.
Carrie and Don have a long history of teamwork, including being the co-owners and operators of a dynamic office supply business for eight years.
Now that their four children have moved out on their own, Carrie and Don have become what they once laughed at -- they are dog lovers to the extreme. They are the "parents" of three small poodle and poodle mix dogs that are spoiled rotten. Brigitte is a purebred poodle; Boo is a rescued Cockerpoo (his foster mom received him on Halloween, hence the name) ; and Kasi is a rescued poodle/Lhasa (?) mix. All three are thoroughly loved and pampered. See Carrie and Don's "pet page" to see why Carrie and Don are so smitten!
